The way it’s meant to be played: Ubercon III
DFI and NVIDIA team up to make one of the East Coast’s largest gaming events even bigger and better!

SECAUCUS, NJ—In its third year, Ubercon shattered expectations and drew over 1,200 attendees—300 more than expected! Over the leap-year weekend, droves of gamers swarmed to the LAN area’s 32 NVIDA-equipped machines, paying demos of upcoming games like Atari’s Unreal Tournament 2004™, Ubisoft’s Far Cry™, and Painkiller™. Contestants battled to gain spots in the 60-person Unreal Tournament Deathmatch, which ended in a furious final battle on Sunday. The winner walked away with a DFI “LAN Party™” motherboard, featuring the NVIDIA nForce 2 chipset, as well as bragging rights until the next ‘Con.

I spy!
Attendees wore their free NVIDIA T-shirts throughout the event, and for good reason: a few lucky gamers sporting their NVIDIA shirts were lucky enough to be selected in our random T-shirt spotting campaign, and walked away with a brand new DFI LAN Party motherboard!

Playing the best games on the best hardware
NVIDIA’s kiosks were on site once again, showcasing today’s hottest games, and the upcoming hits of the future. Attendees young and old marveled over the breathtaking graphics in Ubisoft’s upcoming Far Cry and try as they might, couldn’t quite satisfy their appetites for destruction in Lucas Arts’ recently-released Armed and Dangerous™.

Be sure to check out the next ‘Con in Secaucus in October 2004! For more NVIDIA-attended events, keep an eye on the nZone event calendar.
